White Throated Kingfisher

Today just after breakfast I went for a walk around the Village and rice paddy’s. I took the Camera with me and I took couple dozen nature shots. So these I will share at this time. It is a White-Throated Kingfisher.

I tried to get in as close as possible because I wanted a front view but he caught on to me. He flew off squawking and warning others of my presence. I think I still got a few decent shots in first though.

I managed to catch him with his wing stretched out. Very nice pattern with a white patch. You can usually find these birds near streams and other bodies of water. It’s known to eat small fish, snails, lizards, and some insects.

My Camera is a Canon EOS 1200D. The lens I used is a Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO DG MACRO with hood and no filters.

If you like viewing my photography and reading my blog; can you please help me by contributing to my hobby so I can continue to improve and bring you guys great quality photos. Please see my patreon link.

As always, Thanks for viewing and reading.
