Day Six: “Solitude” Rule of Thirds.

Perhaps the shot was a bit too close, but at this focus it caught the Red Dragonfly’s details very nicely. Usually there are many of these flying around my garden, but today it was the only one that I seen. It may be due to the fact that we finally had some good rain, the season is changing here. You can see the little nicks in his wings where birds may have tried to get him.

  1. I think I have seen this type of butterfly only a couple of times when I was kid. It was the most difficult for me to catch.

    It was a sharp shot and I like how the details stand out. How did you blur the background?
